A quick SXSW update
Somehow this SXSW has felt even crazier and more busy than last year, and I've had no spare moments to update the journal. I'm keeping a journal of notes and will write everything once I have a little time.
I'm in a cafe this morning with Brett, trying to plot a course of films to see for the next few days. We decided to forego the 11am screening in favor of sustenance, room to breathe, and coffee. A wise decision I believe.
The screening on Saturday night went very well. We had a packed house (many of which were either related to my film or to one of the other screening), and unfortunately a lot of people who would have liked to see the films were unable to attend. It was interesting to see the film screen within the context of other films. It's a completely different experience. If anything, I felt it was more intense. Between moments of dead silence in the audience, you could hear people gasping and even a couple "Oh my..!"s. I'm going to take the liberty of interpreting these responses in a positive way.
Off to see a film... I'll write again soon.
