Back from California... for a little while

Alli and I returned from California late Friday night.  We spent the week in Los Angeles looking for a new place to call home.  By the end of the week, we settled on a great little town home in Torrance.  It's a straight shot up the 110 to USC, so hopefully my commute won't be too bad.  Californians love to drive around even more than Texans.  It's almost inconceivable how many people live in the greater Los Angeles area.  There are so many small cities with an entire infrastructure of their own, all meshed together into one enormous place that never seems to end.

It's starting to sink in that I'll actually be leaving Austin soon, and it's certainly causing mixed emotions.  I'm going to miss Austin and so many friends, and the lively film scene I've ever so gradually become a part of.  But I'm starting to truly get excited about the new opportunities and focus that LA and USC will bring.
