I've been busy but don't have a whole lot of exciting things to report. We're in principle shooting on LINES (the skateboarding doc that I'm editing this semester), and it's fun to see it start to take shape. We're still early, but beginning to identify who our main characters will be and coming up with a lot of exciting ideas for things to shoot over the next few weeks.
I've been diving back into cinematography as well, taking a course with Angelo Pacifici. It's a great class and I'm looking forward to both "reconnecting" to the camera and expanding my knowledge of lighting and equipment.
The Bunuel / Almodovar class that I'm auditing has continued to be a much needed weekly intellectual stimulation. Both LAS HURDES and LOS OLVIDADOS are stunning films for their craft but even more so for their conceptual power.
